My Day out at the Biloela Show
Saturday May 18th my support worker Rob, a friend and I traveled to Biloela to attend the 84th Callide Valley Show. I was very surprised at how large the country show was.
As an agricultural region, exhibits ranged from tractors and ride-on mowers for farmers, to cakes and homemade jam from the country cooks. Along with Side-show Alley, rides and animal nursery for the bush kids. For the rev-heads, utes burnt up the dust as the ute muster got under way inside the rink. Miss Showgirl led the main parade around a red dirt arena.
While Rob and my friend had hamburgers for lunch, children were rushing around in circles as lolly drop was in operation.
I consumed the old favorite show treat, a Dagwood Dog with barbecue sauce and chips. Before leaving for home, I couldn’t go past the Apex bar and not have a can of Bundy and cola.
What a wonderful day.
